How the test works — step by step
- Initial consultation. You describe the situation, and we determine whether it can be tested instrumentally. A polygraph answers factual questions: did the person take it, did they know, were they involved.
- Choosing the topics. One to three topics per test. Spreading the test over more topics lowers the reliability of the result for each of them.
- Written consent. Mandatory and voluntary; it is signed before the test begins.
- Pre-test interview. From 40 minutes. We discuss the examinee’s health and any medication, explain the method and read out every question of the upcoming test aloud.
- Testing and the conclusion. 40–90 minutes of recording reactions, then analysis and discussion. You get a verbal result straight after the test and the written conclusion on the day of the test — in complex cases within 24 hours.

How many people can be tested in one day?
With a classic polygraph, three to four people in a full working day. If there are more people, the testing is planned over two or three days, or the circle is first narrowed with the online VerifEye test taken on a smartphone.
Can the test be held on company premises?
Yes, if there is a separate quiet room that outsiders don’t enter. A meeting room or a vacant office will do; a room next to the production floor, with noise and vibration, will not.
Are there any contraindications to the test?
Certain medical conditions and medications are discussed beforehand — that is exactly what the pre-test interview is for. If the test cannot be conducted properly, it is postponed rather than done carelessly.
What if an employee refuses to take the test?
Refusing is their legal right. It is not proof of guilt, is not recorded as a negative result and cannot be grounds for dismissal or disciplinary action.
Can the conclusion be used in court?
Not on its own. For court, a forensic psychophysiological examination by a certified forensic expert is needed. The court weighs its conclusion together with the other evidence — it has no predetermined weight.
Do I need to prepare for the test in any way?
No special preparation is needed — in fact, it can do harm. Just get a good night’s sleep, avoid alcohol the day before, eat before the test and mention any regular medication during the pre-test interview.
